Vershini and Kausalya, daughters of King Sukaushala and Queen Amritaprabha. Kausalya married Dasharatha the king of Ayodhya and Vershini married Romapada, the king of Anga.
Shanta’s Adoption: A Playful Request
Vershini, wanting a child, playfully asked Kausalya if she could adopt her daughter, Shanta. Surprisingly, Dasharatha agreed, and Shanta became Vershini’s adopted daughter.
